Directions to the University of Hartford
From I-91 North and South:
- Take exit 35-B
- Follow Route 218 West for approximately 4 miles
- At the junction of Routes 218 and 189, take a left onto 189 (Bloomfield Avenue)
- The University of Hartford is 2 miles ahead on the left
From I-291:
- Take exit 1
- Follow directions for I-91
From I-84 East and West:
- Take exit 44 – Prospect Avenue
- Follow Prospect Avenue toward West Hartford
- Prospect Avenue ends at the junction of Route 44
- Take a right onto Route 44 (Albany Avenue)
- At the first light take a sharp left onto Bloomfield Avenue
- The University of Hartford is a half mile ahead on the right
Directions to the Community Division
- Use the University’s main entrance at the traffic light
- Go straight past the University of Hartford Magnet School, and East Hall
- Park in lot D, which will be on the right
- The Community Division is located in the Alfred C. Fuller Music Center, which is directly across the street from lot D
- Use the entrance closest to the road
- The Community Division Office is in room 19 – 20
On-Campus Parking
In lot D, please remember to park in regular spaces (i.e. not in faculty parking or at the end of rows in unmarked areas). Public Safety will ticket cars that are not parked properly and/or cars that do not display a proper parking permit. Students or parents may pick up a Community Division parking permit in the Community Division office. Please display this card on your car's dashboard when on campus. In addition, please do not park in the designated drop-off/pick-up area in front the Community Division office on the campus road.

Directions to the Universalist Church of West Hartford, 433 Fern Street
(Some Suzuki Classes, Monday - Friday)
- Follow I-84 to exit 43 (Park Road – West Hartford Center)
- Turn right at end of ramp and get into left lane
- Turn left at first light onto Trout Brook Drive
- At the fourth traffic light turn left onto Fern Street
- Church is a half block ahead on left
- Parking is in the lot behind the church. Please only park in designated spaces. If the lot is full, you may find convenient street parking adjacent to the Church
- Use side entrance marked “Office”

Directions to the Dance Department in Hartford

Parking lot is located directly behind our building off Niles Street, directions below. Please do not park on the Farmington Avenue side of our building.
From West of Hartford:
- Take I-84 East
- Take the Sisson Avenue exit (left hand exit)
- Turn right onto Sisson Avenue at the end of the ramp
- Turn right onto Farmington Avenue at the end of Sisson Ave.
- Turn Left onto Sigourney Street (pass the Mark Twain House and Dunkin Donuts)
- Take the first left onto Niles Street
- We are located in the single story white building with green trim on your left behind the community garden.
From North, South or East of Hartford:
- Take I-84 West (I-91 will connect to I-84 in Hartford)
- Take the Sigourney Street Exit
- Turn right onto Sigourney Street at the end of the ramp
- Cross over Farmington Avenue
- Take your first left onto Niles Street
- We are located in the single story white building with green trim on your left behind the community garden
- Note: Do not park on the Farmington Avenue side of our building. The entrance on Farmington Avenue is locked and not accessible. Cars will be towed. All cars must park in the designated parking lot on Niles Street. The entrance to the Hartt Dance and Opera Center is on the Niles Street side.

Directions to Simsmore Square Satellite
From I-91 North and South:
- Take exit 35-B
- Follow Route 218 West for approximately 4 miles
- At the Junction of Route 185, take a right (follow to end)
- Take a right onto Route 10, Hopmeadow Street
- Simsmore Square is on the right about a mile down the road
- Enter Simsmore Square at the third blue “Simsmore Square” sign. Drive down the driveway in-between Route 10 Pizza and the Candy Shoppe. As you come down the hill, you will see a yellow building in front of you. Drive to the left of the building, our entrance is on this side. You may park in front of, behind or on the side of the building.
From I-291:
- Take exit 1
- Follow directions for I-91
From Route 44 - Albany Avenue
- Take Route 10 North
- Simsmore Square is a shopping center on the right.
- Enter Simsmore Square at the third blue “Simsmore Square” sign. Drive down the driveway in-between Route 10 Pizza and the Candy Shoppe. As you come down the hill, you will see a yellow building in front of you. Drive to the left of the building, our entrance is on this side. You may park in front of, behind or on the side of the building.
From Route 185 North - Simsbury Road
- Take Route 185 to the end into Simsbury
- Take a right onto Route 10, Hopmeadow Street
