New Opportunities and Challenges for Music and Dance Families

The Hartt School’s college theater, music and dance departments have begun offering their concerts and productions at the Handel Center as well as other locations on the University of Hartford campus.   The close proximity of these high quality performances presents a great enrichment opportunity for Community Division families.  With a Community Division ID, students can receive a $2 discount on tickets for all performances.  Visit the University of Hartford box office (on campus at the Lincoln Theater) or call (860) 768-4228 for ticket information. Complete performance schedules are listed at www.hartford.edu/hartt.

As a result of the productions mentioned above, from this point forward, the MassMutual Gallery at the Handel Center will be a very busy place - with technical theater activity, rehearsals, and public audiences present almost every evening.  I strongly encourage Community Division families to utilize both the Backstage Café and the Community Room (adjacent to the café) as a waiting area, especially if you have young children.  The safety of your family is our number one concern.

Dr. Mark George, Director
The Hartt School Community Division
