Bio:
- Scott has performed in venues all across the country, from The Knitting Factory (NYC) to Seattle 's Benaroya Hall with such legendary musicians as Fred Mills, Jens Lindemann, Allan Dean, Jiggs Wigham and Don Harry. At home in Connecticut, he maintains a solid playing base at the Goodspeed Opera House, and freelances with many local groups, including Orchestra New England, The Hartford Symphony, The Hat City Opera Company, The Connecticut Opera, and The Coast Guard Academy Band. Nationally, he has toured with The New Sousa Band for eight years
- Scott has been a member of faculty at Central Connecticut State University since 2002 and at The Hartt School ( University of Hartford ) since 2003
- In his own educational pursuits, he has had the privilege of studying with Ronald Borror, Joseph Alessi and John Swallow. As a member of the Freelance Brass Quintet, Scott has had the opportunity to play and give masterclasses at many major universities in the United States
- Scott Bean has recorded on the Ashmont Records, Redeye, Innova and Novisse labels
- Hartt Community Division faculty member since 1996
