Education: B.A., Edinboro University (PA); M.M.Ed, The Hartt School; Kodaly Certifiction, The Hartt School
- Member of Kodaly Educators of Southern New England and the Organization of American Kodaly Educators
- Has held teaching positions covering every level of pedagogy from pre-K through college, including workshop presentations for the Connecticut Elementary Music Conference and the MENC Eastern Division Conference
- Has participated in independent folksong research at Warren Wilson College, Asheville, N.C., and at the Archive of Folk Life Studies in Washington D.C.
- Has written articles on the topic of children's folksong
- Performs articulately on banjo, guitar, and pennywhistle
- Teaches classroom music (K-5) and chorus, (grades 4-5), at Ridge Road Elementary School, North Haven, CT
