Joza Karas Adult String Ensemble The Joza Karas Adult String Ensemble, named after its founder, brings adults with an amateur interest playing their instrument the oppotunity to play within a string orchestra. The ensemble rehearses on Saturday mornings from 11:15am-12:45pm in room 342 at The Hartt School, University of Hartford. Rehearsals generally take place between October - June; informal performances occur a few times a year as deemed appropriate by the ensemble director. The goal of this ensemble is to provide instruction for adults who would like to improve their playing, to provide an ensemble experience for adult string players while recognizing social interests amongst adults and their love of music.
