The Hartt Community Division offers a number of ensemble programs for the pre-college student as well as opportunities for the adult.

Youth Instrumental Ensembles include:

• Connecticut Youth Symphony Orchestra
• Greater Hartford Youth Wind Ensemble
• Concert Ensemble
• Suzuki Orchestras
• Chamber Music Program

Chamber Music

In addition to the large ensembles, the Community Division also offers an extensive Chamber Music Program. The precise ensembles available each year vary as interested students are placed in groups specifically designed for their needs and talents. Such groups range from trios, quartets, and quintets to small ensembles of up to 15 students. The chamber music program also includes a Middle School Percussion Ensemble and a High School Percussion Ensemble.

Our ensemble programs are open to all students (by audition). Those who study privately through the Community Division are eligible for free tuition to large ensembles and reduced tuition to chamber music.
