  Dance
Adult Music Programs
Come try a piano or voice class, join our adult string ensemble, or take private lessons on an instrument of your choice. All levels of experience welcome whether you've never played an instrument, or have played all your life.

 

Adult Dance & Fitness Classes
Classes for all levels and experience; come try a class for free. From tap to jazz, ballet to modern, salsa to ballroom, and many others, come enjoy the invigorating effects of dance.

Private Music Instruction
Information on lessons in all orchestral and band instruments, piano, organ, guitar, and voice as well as group theory classes.

  Dance Classes
Information on classes for students of all ages in ballet, tap, jazz, modern dance and others at the Hartford Courant Arts Center and in Simsbury.
Suzuki Program
Information on private and group music lessons in violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar and piano using the Suzuki method of instruction.

  Ballet and Dance Birthday Parties
Information about dance-theme birthday parties for children in Hartford and Simsbury.
Instrumental Ensemble Programs
Information on large and small ensembles for students of varying ages and ability levels.

 

First Steps in Music
Information on our early childhood music and movement classes for children ages birth through Kindergarten.

Connecticut Children's Chorus
Information on choral programs for students in grades 1 - 12.
  Children's Ballet
For ages 3-8, children interested in ballet can take classes in Hartford and Simsbury.

Performer's Certificate Program
Information on this two-year curriculum for pre-college students who intend to major or minor in music.

  Intensive Ballet
Classes designed for the more serious dancer and/or interest in becoming a professional dancer.

First Steps in Music
Our early childhood music and movement program for children and their parents ages birth through five.

  Youth Dance
Classes designed for children ages 8 and up.
Summer Programs
Information on a variety of special opportunities in music, theatre, and dance offered in June, July, and August.

 

Community Efforts
The Hartt School Community Division reaches out to the community, especially to school-aged students in the city of Hartford, to provide quality arts education to everyone.
